Legendary rapper, Nas rocked Detroit’s premiere nightclub The White House for his after party. The celebration was in conjunction with the release of his critically acclaimed documentary Nas: Time Is Illmatic. Just hours after screening the film at The Fillmore Detroit, where he also gave a live performance of his classic Illmatic in its entirety, Nas tore it down once again for patrons at The White House. Nas took the stage wearing a black and yellow Detroit Vs. Everybody snapback hat, and a custom-made Detroit Vs. Everybody white t-shirt, with the words “God’s Son” on the back. Nas partied with all in attendance and went through a string of classics from the Queensbridge rapper’s career that spans over twenty years. Nas donned the DVE clothing, because he says he can relate to the struggles of the city of Detroit. Nas has been on record saying very encouraging things about Detroit’s resurgence, and on this night, he showed love by wearing the brand that’s been one of the city’s biggest statements in recent years: Detroit Vs. Everybody
